Google Classroom - Google Classroom is a learning management system. It was released in August 2014 so is a pretty new product in Google's Apps for Education suite. It dos not have nearly the number of features as blackboard, schoology, canvas or some other course management systems but there are new features being added all the time.
The thing that Google Classroom does really well is simplifying the creation, distribution and organization of assignments in a paperless way. Teachers can create assignments and distribute to students electronically. A copy of the assignment is created for each student who can then Turn In the assignment digitally once complete. Teachers can then grade and add comments digitally too.
